Ismail-Jeremias Aytekin
Piano and harpsichord maker
Aytekin, born in Detmold, decided after passing his A-Levels at the "Freie Waldorfschule Lippe-Detmold", to become a piano and cembalo maker.
He served his apprenticeship at the Pianohaus B.Kemp, Bielefeld, and after passing his examination as journeyman before the "City and Guild for Music Instrument Makers" Baden-Württemberg, in January 2006, he founded the company of AYTEKIN PIANO in the same year. He received additional professional qualification at renowned piano makers Wilhelm Schimmel in Brunswick.
His musical education began at the age of 6, when he learned to play several instruments (violoncello, drums, percussion, piano and theory).
He extended his musical knowledge and experience in 1999 by actively taking part in the "II. International String and Chamber Music Master Classes" with Prof. Mikhail Khomitzer in Ayvalık (Turkey). In the summer of 2000 he accompanied the "Junges Philharmonisches Orchester Niedersachsen" on a concert tour to Hungary where he performed as percussionist and drummer.
The connection between music and craftsmanship includes both, challenge and synergy.
