Tuning
At least once in a year your instrument should be tuned. Only if this is adhered to, will the register remain true.
Intonation
The character of sound is formed by the intonation of the individual hammerheads.
This work can only be carried out by a skilled piano maker who has the knowledge and sensitive hearing to bring the customer's wish in line with the sound of the instrument.
Mechanical Repairs
It is advisable that the sound of your instrument is adjusted after 4 to 6 years. After many hours of play the mechanics, including the hammerhead should be checked and adjusted if required. The subsequent intonation will allow for an optimal sound to develop and give you new pleasure in playing the piano.
Surface Repair
The body of your instrument, especially a black version, may show some wear and tear marks after a number of years. These damages can be dealt with by special treatment carried out at your piano workshop.
